Al-Tom Forest Products was acquired in April 1980. The makeup of the company is a lumber manufacturing facility, kiln drying operation and log harvesting crew. Both the lumber manufacturing facility and kiln drying operations are located off Highway 63 in the community of Piave in Greene County, MS.

The company logging crew harvests approximately 25% of logs used to run the manufacturing facility. The remaining volume is received as gatewood. Annually the facility converts the logs into over 10,000,000 board feet of green pine and hardwood lumber. In December ’97, the company purchased and constructed 2 dry kilns with estimated yearly drying volume at 3,000,000 board feet. The company employs on average 56 employees which includes 7 in logging operations and 7 administrative/management.
